Commitment towards mother earth calls for great affiance and pledge. Every year Earth Day has been celebrated to mark the importance of mother Earth, but what after the day of celebrations. Do we remain committed the entire year? Much has been said but nothing substantial has been done. With this resolve and contemplation, we at Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu has organised “FABRIC PAINTING” activity, an endeavour to create mass mindfulness and to leave a trail to be followed by others in this direction.

The activity was the outcome of the thought process which our heads have been thinking for long. In this activity long white cloth of 10m was divided into blocks of decided diameter and afterwards our Sanskritians painted pulchritudinous & communiqué paintings. The activity was contrived and designated towards igniting the spark and fostering an appetite for saving and protecting our mother earth from invaders like deforestation and pollution.some of the students namely Sushant, Priyanaka, Aryan, Anshika & Bhuvnesh performed extremely well.
Meanwhile our Sanskritians received worth remembering and desirable lessons from the concerned teachers on the immediate need of taking succinct and indicative steps for the cause of our earth without which soon we will have to struggle for our survival. Apart from this ‘Table Mat Making’ activity was also conducted in which students made table mats pertaining to Mother Earth. It was a unique activity & the students utilize these table mats while having lunch in the school & at their homes. Not only this even our little sanskritians of Pre-Primary wing did vegetable printing related to mother earth & also tearing & pasting. Our primary wing sanskritians conveyed heart-warming messages to mother earth with coloring sheet.

The observance of Earth Day ended with sanguineness and foresee for making this planet greener and cleaner. Our Principal cum Vice Chairperson Ms Rohini Aima adulated our Sanskritians for such a commendable activity and quoted that it is high time now so we should stop being negligent and disregardful towards our Earth. We all have to join hands to nurture our planet and make it a progressing place to live in.
