Maj GS Bali’s death is a murder: Family Demanding probe in the case

Srinagar: A 35-year-old Army officer Major Gurjeet Singh Bali, hailing from Srinagar who was posted at the Remount Training School and Depot in Saharanpur in western Uttar Pradesh was found hanging on his official quarter on Thursday. Family of Maj blamed his superiors for his death.
Mayor’s brother Gurmeet Singh while talking to reporters said that his brother was continuously being harassed by his officer. “Few days ago my brother called his wife and told that they are forcing me to sign some documents and also not sanctioning my leave”, Gurmeet said adding that even when we were contact we told them not to do post mortem till we arrive but before our arrival they performed post mortem and even packed the body of my brother. After this act we are smelling something fishy in this case. So we demand a probe in this case.
Earlier a UP police offical said that the deceased was undergoing treatment for depression. They also said that his body was found hanging in his room and after preliminary investigation it was revealed that the cause of death was due to hanging.
