Applications on the prescribed format are invited from the eligible candidates, (Not in Service/Non-PSC), from the permanent Residents of J&K State for the following Faculty posts (Discipline specified against each) on Academic Arrangement basis under SRO. 384 of 2009 Dated. 14-12-2009, read with SRO. 409 of 2013 Dated. 19-08-2013, for a period of one year, which shall be extendable up to maximum period of six years (one year at a time subject to better performance, conduct and prescribed age limit which shall not exceed more than (65) years) or till such time posts are filled up by the competent authority on regular basis in terms of existing J&K Medical Education (Gazetted) Recruitment Rules 1979, and SRO. 88 of 2016 Dated. 14.03.2016, whichever happens earlier:-

Teaching experience in respect of both Medical/Non Medical persons:- As Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor ora Senior Resident for a period of Two years in a recognized teaching Medical Institution recognized by the MCI or University of Kashmir/Jammu.
02.	Anesthesiology	Lecturer	MD/MS (Anesthesiology), DFACS, Speciality Board of Anesthesiology (USA) or equivalent qualifications with; Two years teaching experience as Registrar in the Specialty in any Medical College/institutes recognised by the MCI.
03.	Biochemistry	Lecturer	MD. (Biochemistry)/MBBS with M.Sc. (Med. Biochemistry) M.Sc,(Med. Biochemistry) with Ph.D. (Med. BiochemistryVM.Sc. (Med. Biochemistry) with D.Sc (Med. Biochemistry) As Demonstrator/Tutor or a Senior Resident for a period of Two years in a recognized teaching Medical Institution recognized by the MCI or University of Kashmir/Jammu.
04.	Chest Medicine (CD&TB)	Lecturer	M.D. in (Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases) or equivalent qualifications with; Two years teaching experience as Registrar in the Specialty in any Medical Colleqes/lnstitutes recoqnized by the MCI.
05.	Dermatology	Lecturer	M.D. Dermatology with; Two years teaching experience as Registrar in the Specialty in any Medical College/institutes recognised by the MCI.
06.	ENT	Lecturer	M.S. (ENT) Speciality Board of Cto-Raino-Laryngology (USA) or equivalent qualification with; Two years teaching experience as Registrar in the Specialty in any Medical College/institutes recognised by the MCI.
07.	Endocrinology	Lecturer	D.M. (Endocrinology)/MD (Medicine) with DNB (Endocrinology) duly recognized by MCI with; Provided that preference will be given to those having teaching experience in any Government Medical Colleqe recoqnized by Medical Council of India.
08.	Microbiology	Lecturer	M.D. (Bacteriology)/M.D.(Microbiology)/MBBS with M.Sc(Med. Bacteriology)/M.Sc.(Med. Microbiology)/Ph.D.(Med. Bacteriology) M.Sc (Med. Bact.) with Ph.D. (Med. Bacteriology)/M.Sc.(Med. Bacteriology) with D.Sc. (Med. Bacteriology)/M.Sc (Med. Microbiology) with Ph.D (Med. Microbiology)/ M.Sc.(Med. Microbiology) with D.Sc.(Med. Microbiology). Two years teaching experience as Demonstrator in the Specialty in any Medical Colleqes/lnstitutes recoqnized by the MCI or the University of Kashmir/Jammu.
09.	0bsts& Gynae	Lecturer	M.D. (Obst. & Gynae) M.S. (Obst & Gynae), M.0./M.R.C.0., M.D/M.S. (Midwifery and Gynae) Specialty Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (USA) with; Two years teaching experience as Registrar/Senior Resident in the Specialty in any Medical College/ Institutes recognised by the MCI.
10.	Pediatrics	Lecturer	M.D. in (Paediatrics); Speciality Board of Peadiatrics (USA) with; Two years teaching experience as Registrar/Senior Resident in the Specialty in any Medical Colleges/ Institutes recognized by the MCI.
11.	Pharmacology	Lecturer	i) For Medical Persons:- PG Degree in Pharmacology i.e. M.D; Ph.D, D.Sc. ii) For Non Medical Persons:-Ph. D in Pharmacology Requirements/Experience in respect of both Medical & Non Medical persons: – The applicants must be having Two years teaching experience as Demonstrator/ Tutor in the Specialty in any Medical Colleges/lnstitutes recognized by the MCI or University of Kashmir/Jammu.
12.	Psychiatry	Assistant Professor	M.D. (Psychiatry); Specialty Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (USA); M.R.C. Psych. (UK) or equivalent qualifications with; • Two years teaching experience as Lecturer in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/ Jammu and; • One Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, durinq the tenure of the Lecturer.
13.	Radiodiagnosis & Imaging	Lecturer	M.DVM.S. (Radiology), M.D. (Radio Diagnosis), M.D. (Radiotherapy) Speciality Board of Radiology (USA) or equivalent qualification with; Two years teaching experience as Registrar in the Specialty in any Medical Colleqes/lnstitutes recoqnized by the MCI.
14.	Surgical Gastroenterology (Allied Specialty of Surgery)	Professor	M.Ch (Surgical Gastroenterology)/DNB (Surgical Gastroenterology)/M.S. (Surgery) or DNB (Surgery) with; Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu and; Four Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, out of which minimum two research publications must have been published durinq the tenure of the Associate Professor.
15.	SPM	Lecturer	M.D. in Social & Preventive Medicine/Community Medicine; Speciality Board of Social & Preventive Medicine (USA); Dr. P.N. (John Hopkins); Dr. P.M. (Harvard) Dr. P.H. (California). Two years teaching experience as Demonstrator in the Specialty in any Medical College/institutes recognised by the MCI.
16.	Neuro-Surgery	Professor		M.Ch in concerned discipline duly recognized by the Medical Council of India, with; • Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu and; •Four Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, out of which minimum two research publications must have been published durinq the tenure of the Associate Professor.
		Lecturer		M.Ch in concerned discipline duly recognized by the Medical Council of India, with; Provided that preference will be given to those having teaching experience in any Government Medical College recognised by Medical Council of India.
17.	Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery	Professor		M.Ch (CVTS)/M.Ch Cardio Surgery/M.Ch Vascular Surgery, duly recognized by Medical Council of India with; • Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu and; • Four Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, out of which minimum two research publications must have been published during the tenure of the Associate Professor.
		Associate Professor		M.Ch (CVTS)ZM.Ch Cardio Surgery/M.Ch Vascular Surgery, duly recognized by Medical Council of India; . Two years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu and; • Two Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, durinq the tenure of the Assistant Professor.
		Assistant Professor		M.Ch (CVTS)/M.Ch Cardio Surgery/M.Ch Vascular Surgery, duly recognized by Medical Council of India; • Two years teaching experience as Lecturer in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/ Jammu and; • One Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted /published as first/second author, durinq the tenure of the Lecturer.
		Lecturer		M.Ch (CVTS)/M.Ch Cardio Surgery/M.Ch Vascular Surgery, duly recognized by Medical Council of India with; Provided that preference will be given to those having teaching experience in any Government Medical Colleqe recoqnized by Medical Council of India.
18.	Paediatric Surgery	Professor		M.Ch (Paediatric Surgery)/ MDPeadiatric with DNB Peadiatric Surgery duly recognized by Medical Council of India with; • Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in Govt. 20.	Plastic & Re constructive Surgery	Associate Professor		M.Ch in Plastic and Re-constructive Surgery/M.Ch Plastic Surgery/MS Surgery with DNB Plastic and Re constructive Surgery duly recognized by the Medical Council of India with; • Two years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu and; • Two Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, durinq the tenure of the Assistant Professor.
		Assistant Professor		M.Ch in Plastic and Re-constructive Surgery/M.Ch Plastic Surgery/MS Surgery with DNB Plastic and Re constructive Surgery duly recognized by the Medical Council of India with; • Two years teaching experience as Lecturer in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu and; • One Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted /published as first/second author, during the tenure of the Lecturer.
		Lecturer		M.Ch in Plastic and Re constructive Surgery/M.Ch Plastic Surgery/MS Surgery with DNB Plastic and Re-constructive Surgery duly recognized by the Medical Council of India. Provided that preference will be given to those having teaching experience in any Government Medical College recognised by Medical Council of India.
21.	Cardiology	Professor		DM (Cardiology) MD Medicine with DNB Cardiology duly recognized by Medical Council of India. • Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu and; • Four Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, out of which minimum two research publications must have been published during the tenure of the Associate Professor.
		Lecturer		DM (Cardiology) MD Medicine with DNB Cardiology duly recognized by Medical Council of India. Provided that preference will be given to those having teaching experience in any Government Medical College recognised by Medical Council of India.
22.	Nephrology	Professor		DM (Nephrology)/MD Medicine with DNB Nephrology duly recognized by Medical Council of India with; • Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu and; • Four Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, out of which minimum two research publications must have been published durinq the tenure of the Associate Professor.
		Associate Professor		DM (NephrologyVMD Medicine with DNB Nephrology duly recognized by Medical Council of India with; • Two years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu and; • Two Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, during the tenure of the Assistant Professor.
		Lecturer		DM (NephrologyVMD Medicine with DNB Nephrology duly recognized by Medical Council of India with; Provided that preference will be given to those having teaching experience in any Government Medical College recognized by Medical Council of India.
23.	Neurology	Professor	DM (Neurology)/MD Medicine with DNB Neurology duly recognized by Medical Council of India. •Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in Govt. Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu and; • Four Research Publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, out of which minimum two research publications must have been published durinq the tenure of the Associate Professor.
		Lecturer	DM (Neurology)/MD Medicine with DNB Neurology duly recognized by Medical Council of India. Provided that preference will be given to those having teaching experience in any Government Medical College recognised by Medical Council of India.

: No application shall be received by this Office after 2:00 PM.

TERMS &CONDITIONS:-

1) The applicants are advised to enclose with their application form self attested copies of the under mentioned documents/certificates:-

MBBS & MD/MS/DM/DNB/M.Ch./P.hd etc. qualification certificates of the respective specialty, (May also refer in this regard the respective eligibility criteria column as above).
Marks Certificate of the respective Degree especially final year’s MBBS Marks certificate.
Attempt Certificate of all examination of MBBS etc. issued by the University.
Experience certificate as Lecturer/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in the Specialty.
Professional Publication under SRO 88 of 2016 Dated. 14.04.2016, details as under:-

i) FOR THE POST OF PROFESSOR:

Research publications as specified against the respective eligibility criteria column.

II) FOR THE POST OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:

(02) Research publications as specified against the respective eligibility criteria column.

III) FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:

(01) Research publication as specified against the respective eligibility

criteria column,

Two years Registrar-ship/ Demonstrator-ship/ Senior Resident/Tutor completion certificate for the post of Lecturer.
Permanent Resident Certificate, (PRC).
Date of Birth Certificate.

The Candidates may download the application format from the official website of the Government Medical College, Srinagar i.e. http://www. gmcs.edu.in/

The applications should reach the office of the undersigned by or before 30^th November, 2018, up to 2:00 PM.

The applicants shall have to appear before the Selection Committee for interview at Government Medical College, Srinagar along with all original testimonials and other related documents on the date which will be notified separately. NoT.A/D.A etc shall be paid to the candidates for attending the Interview.

The applicant for the aforesaid posts should not be of more than (63) years of age as on the date of issuance of the notice.
The selected candidates shall have to execute an agreement that he/ she will not leave the Department before the completion of one year’s contract. However abandoning/termination of the arrangement in the Specialty will require one month prior notice on either side, failing which the salary shall not be paid for one month to the incumbent which shall always remain in deposit with the Department and shall be released on completion of sanctioned term.
The selected candidate has to submit an affidavit to the effect that he/she is not on the rolls of any Medical Colleges/lnstitutions of the country which is pre-requisite in terms of MCI norms.
No application of the in-service candidate shall be entertained by virtue of the existence of SRO. 409 of 2013 Dated. 19-08-2013.
The applications of those candidates shall be rejected who fail to attach any requisite requirements/documents/marks sheets with their application formats.

The applicants must attach the application fee receipt of Rs. 300/- (Three hundred Rupees only) in the form of Demand Draft payable to the Chief Account Officer, Govt. Medical College, Srinagar.
