JAMMU SANSKRITI SCHOOL, JAMMU CELEBRATES WORLD HEART DAY IN COLLABORATION WITH ‘MEDANTA-THEMEDICITY-NEW DELHI’
Heart– the most vital organ of human body is somehow being neglected these days because of the life style that we follow. With the intend of enriching our staff and children we celebrated this day in a unique way by conducting myriad of activities for a week. The conduct of activities were planned in collaboration with ‘Medanta–the Medicity’-New Delhi, which is one of India’s largest projects in multi super specialty institutes that redefine standards of excellence in health care delivery.
The celebrations began on 25.09.18 with the Quiz on ‘World Heart Day’ in which there was three rounds namely Question-Answer, Rapid fire and Tap the table. It was concluded with a positive speech of Ms Prabhjot Kaur, Coordinator of middle-wing, who said start adopting a lifestyle which will be fruitful for our heart not for our taste. On the same day Sanskritians participated in ‘Run for Heart’ which conveyed a message that for keeping our heart healthy there is a dire need of physical exercises.
On 26.09.18, a Debate competition was organized on ‘Physical Exercises- Bane or Boon’ in which children synergized their panorama about ceaseless efforts to take care of heart. This was followed by ‘Talk by Experts’ Cardiologist Doctor on ‘World Heart Day’. Debate was conducted under the supervision of Primary wing Coordinator Ms.Varuna Mangotra.
Proceeding further; on 27.9.18 the celebrations were taken to another level when ‘Poster Painting Competition’ for classes IX -XII and ‘Thumb Printing’ for Pre-Primary students was done on the same theme and through which they expressed the critical need of taking utmost care of one’s heart. The Competitions for senior classes were sssupervised by Senior Coordinator Ms.Avneet Kour and Pre-Primary Coordinator Ms. Nidhi Kohli. On 29.9.18 the celebrations marked its end by a ‘Talk by senior teachers’ Mr.Vipul Anand and Mr.Vishal, highlighting the measures to be taken and adopting certain trends for the proper functioning of heart.
Finally a weeklong celebration came to an end with the distribution of Prizes to the winners of various events and by the ameliorating words of Principal cum Vice- Chairperson Ms. Rohini Aima who asserted that heart day is a piece of global crusade to spread mindfulness about coronary illness and stroke aversion. The point is to enhance wellbeing all inclusive by urging individuals to roll out a way of life style improvements and advancing training universally about approaches to regard your heart.
