Burglars strike Gurdwara in Chadoora, Sikhs protest

A police officer said that a theft attempt was made at the Gurdwara Chattipadshahi Dharamshalla Sighan in Khampora Sarai.

Budgam Mar 25 :::Burglars on Friday night struck a Gurdwara in Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, prompting protests by the local Sikh community.

A police officer said that a theft attempt was made at the Gurdwara Chattipadshahi Dharamshalla Sighan in Khampora Sarai.

“We have taken cognizance of the incident and an investigation has been launched,” he said.

However, the protesting Sikhs said that a holy book has been desecrated during the theft.
They demanded stern action against the culprits.

Santpal Singh, district president of Gurduwara Prabhanthak Committee, said: “We are demanding investigation into this theft attempt by the administration.”
