Jammu University Admission opens in Visual Arts (BVA) & Music (B.mus) 

Application on prescribed forms are invited from the candidates desirous to seek admission to your year Bachelor Degree Course in Visual Arts (BVA) & Music(B.mus) in the following disciplines for the session 2017 – 18

BVA: 1. Painting 2. Sculpture 3. Applied Arts 4, Art History & Aesthetics

B. Mus 1.Vocal-Music Siar 3.Violin 4.Tabla 5 .Kathak Dance

The candidates are requested to collect Prospectus/ Admission forms from the office of the Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA), Talab Tillo. Bohri, Jammu, by depositing draft of Rs.500/- drawn in favour of the Principal,Institute of Music & Fine Arts, Jammu

Date of submission of Admission forms is as under

Forms will be given from 13th June to 3rd July, 2017 without late fees.

With late fee till 4th to 17th July,2017

Eligibility and Selection Procedure:

Admission to BVA & B.Mus shall be open to those candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Part-II examination under 10+2 pattern of the J&K Board of School Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with not less than 45% Marks for B.V.A and B.Mus course [40% respectively in case of SC/ST and other category under reservation rules.Private candidate who appeared in 10+2 whose result is still awaited can apply for admission provisionally.

A candidate seeking admission to above mentioned course shall have to appear in the Aptitude test/written test. Final selection shall be made by the admission Committee constituted for the purpose.

For the of admission equal weightage shall be given to percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in 10+2 Examination and his/trer performance in the Aptitude/ written test.
