Rationalization of teaching faculty positions in Government Degree Colleges in J&K state.

Assistant Professors which became available due to retirement of faculty members and by way of creation of additional posts are consolidated within Central Pool of posts of the Administrative Department.

Whereas, the Department has reconciled the vacant post of Assistant Professors with reference to total number of posts sanctioned, posts filled, posts referred to J&K Public Service Commission and posts vacant / un­referred to J&K Public Service Commission.

Whereas on reconciliation of Assistant Professor Post, it has been found that 469 posts were utilized under different subjects are available for filling up on recommendations of J&K Public Service Commission in terms of Jammu and Kashmir (Gazetted) College Service Recruitment Rules (2008) notified under SRO 423 dated 23-12- 2008, re-casted vide SRO 124 of 2014 dated 21-04-2014 read with J&K Reservation Rules, 2005;

Now, therefore, in supersession of all previous orders on the subject and for smooth functioning of the colleges in view of introduction of new courses in colleges, sanction is hereby accorded to:

a.             Transfer of 469 vacant posts of Assistant Professors available in various subjects in the Govt. Degree Colleges of J&K to the Central Pool of Administrative Department.

b.             Referring 469 posts of Assistant Professors to J&K Public Service Commission for selection of suitable candidates strictly in accordance with Jammu and Kashmir (Gazetted) College Service Recruitment Rules (2008) notified under SRO 423 dated 23-12-2008, re-cast vide SRO 124 of 2014 dated 21-04-2014 read with J&K Reservation Rules, 2005 as per following break up:-
