JKBOSE National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Scholarship Notification- Inviting applications from Class-VIII (8^th) Students

It is notified for information of all candidates that Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), New Delhi through the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education is going to conduct State Level National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Examination on 4^th November 2018 (Sunday) for students who are going to appear in class 8^th Annual Examination i.e., October-2018 in Kashmir Division/Winter Zones areas of Jammu Division and March-2019 in Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division.

Other Eligibility Criteria:

1. The student shall be studying in Government Schools, Government aided schools.
2. The student shall have minimum of 55% marks in class VII (5% relaxation for SC, ST students).
3. The overall family income should not exceed Rs 1.5 Lakh per annum.
4. The student must continue his/her studies in Government School up to Class 12th .

Scholarship: 1068 scholarships will be awarded and the amount shall be: Rs. 12000/= per annum per student i.e.Total amount Rs. 48000/= for each selected student from class 9th to 12th.

Examination: The pattern of written examination will be as follows:

The application form in prescribed proforma and other detailed information about the Scholarship Scheme can be had from JKBOSE website www.jkbose.jk.gov.in.

The application forms duly attested by the Head of the Institution and accompanied with the requisite documents (Marks card, Income Certificate and Reserved category certificate, if any) along with pay in slip of Rs.60, favoring Liaison Officer, NMMSS, deposited in JK Bank A/C No. 0547010100000002, Branch BOSE, IFSC Code JAKAOEXAMBR, must reach CDR Wing Bernina, Bye pass, Srinagar/Rehari Colony, Jammu /Sub/ branch Offices of JKBOSE by or before 15^th September, 2018.
