Subject: Short-listing of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor- (Dogri) in Higher Education Department.

Dated: 13.01.2016

Whereas, deficiency notice in respect of the posts of Assistant Professors in the discipline of Dogri was noti­fied vide this Commission’s Notice dated 11.12.2015; and whereas, after receiving the deficient documents the fol­lowing candidates are hereby shortlisted on the basis of the basic merit and weight-age given to higher qualifica- tion:-

In respect of SC category against one post, five candidates were required to be shortlisted. However, 12 candidates have been shortlisted in pursuance of proviso to Rule 40(ii)(b) of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission Business & Procedure Rules, 1980.However, there is no can­didate between the merit of last shortlisted candi­date under open merit category and the merit of last candidate shortlisted in SC category.As regards ALC only two candidates have applied against one post.

The candidates who do not figure in the short-list may approach before the Commission within three days positively with documents in support of their claim of having higher merit (if any), than the cut off merit.

The schedule for conducting the interviews shall follow separately.
