MATH FESTIVAL (2016)

19th & 20th March 2016

Venue: SKICC, Srinagar

The Math Festival of Department of Mathematics, IUST which was postponed in February will now be held on 19th & 20th March 2016 at SKICC, Srinagar. Those students who had registered for this festival should arrive at SKICC Srinagar on I9,h March 2016 (Saturday) at 10:00 am sharp. Only registered students will be allowed to participate in the activities on 19th March.

On 20th March 2016(Sunday) from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 pm, there will also be hands-on Math Exhibition which will include topics like the Fourth Dimension, Clock Arithmetic, Rubber Sheet Geometry and Math in Arts and Crafts. This Exhibition is free and open to all students from classes 5th to 12th regardless of whether they have registered for the festival or not.

The festival is designed to focus on activities that present some deep and insightful mathematical ideas in an innovative, fun and playful manner to encourage creative thinking and discovery.
