Solar Eclipse on March 9, 2016: Timings INDIA

The first solar eclipse of the year 2016 will occur on March 9. On this day, the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth thereby obstructing the view of the Sun from people on planet Earth.

In India, during eclipses, people avoid food and water intake. Pregnant women are advised to remain indoors as it is believed that the rays of the sun falling on earth during eclipse may have adverse effects on health.

The partial solar eclipse is expected to start at 05:38:25 in the morning and will approximately last till 06:50:43 in the morning.
