Advertisement for the Position of Project Fellow

Applications on plain paper mentioning complete permanent and mailing address with Cell No. / Telephone No. and E-mail address, details of educational qualifications (starting from High School or equivalent) and / or experience if any along with attested copies of all mark-sheets/certificates/degrees are invited for the temporary position of one Project Fellow in the U G C Major Research Project titled “Origin and Development of Buddhism in Jammu and Kashmir” awarded to Prof. Ram Nandan Singh, Principal Investigator of the Project. The details regarding the afore-noted position are given as under:

a) Essential qualifications: Master’s degree in Buddhist Studies with a minimum of 55% Marks for general category (50% in case of ST/SC/PH). The candidate should be below the age of 40 at the time of appointment.

b) Duration: The position is purely temporary, initially for one year, extendable for another one year or till the termination of the Project, whichever is earlier.

c) Fellowship amount: The fellowship carries a consolidated amount of Rs. 14,000/- only per month.

d) Terms and Conditions: (i) The services of the selected candidate will be as per the U G C guidelines. The Project Fellowship is a full time position. The selected candidate shall not draw money from any other source. (ii) The appointment of the fellow will be purely temporary, time-bound, non regular and the candidate shall have no legal right to claim his / her regularization / appointment. (iii) The appointment of the Project Fellow stands terminated automatically on the expiry of the project tenure.

The interested candidates may submit their applications to the undersigned address on or before 28th of March 2016. The interview has been fixed on 31st of March 20l6 (Thursday) at 01:30 PM in the chamber of Dean Research Studies, University of Jammu, Jammu-6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The candidate has to bring all the original certificates/degrees/testimonials for verification purpose at the time of interview.
