Pakistan naval air base in Balochistan comes under attack; 6 attackers killed.

On March 26, sources stated that armed militants from Balochistan attempted to enter one of the primary navy air stations located in Balochistan, Pakistan. At least six militants were slain by security personnel when they prevented the attack.

Turbat is a tense neighbourhood where the incident happened on Monday night, said to news agency PTI.

The PNS Siddique Naval Air Base was the site of the armed assault. There were three attempts at the attack from either side of the airport perimeter. Overnight, witnesses said they heard explosions and gunfire. Security personnel reported that no damage to the aircraft or airbase had occurred.

The attack was attributed to the outlawed Majeed Brigade of the Balochistan Liberation Army. This is the BLA’s third attack on security personnel and facilities this year.
