Encounter broke out in south Kashmir’s Kulgam.

An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Modergam village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday, officials said.

The Police Team, Army’s 9 RR, and the CRPF launched a cordon and search operation based on specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the region.

As the joint troops neared the suspected location, the hidden terrorists fired against them, which was replied for, resulting in an encounter.

According to the sources, two terrorists are believed to be trapped in the region.
