Traffic advisory from 4th Tawi Bridge near Bhagwati Chowk to Bakshi Nagar.

General Public is hereby informed that due to ongoing construction of 4 lane flyover with paved shoulder configuration along with service road from 4th Tawi Bridge near Bhagwati Chowk to Bakshi Nagar, the following traffic advisory is hereby issued for next 15 days: –

1. The movement of heavy vehicles viz. Trucks/ Trailer/ tractor / dumper etc. will remain restricted from 4th Tawi Bridge Bhagwati Nagar to Canal Head and vice versa; the said traffic shall be diverted accordingly to other routes.

2. The HMV’s coming from Samba / Kathua destined for Akhnoor axis shall ply on Ring Road towards their destination and similarly vehicles coming from Akhnoor side destined for Samba / Kathua side shall ply on Ring Road for their onward movement.

3. LMV’s and two wheelers will ply in single lane from Canal Head to Bhagwati Nagar 4th Tawi Bridge only and the movement of traffic from Bhagwati Nagar 4th Tawi Bridge to Canal Head shall remain restricted.

As the traffic will ply in single lane, the said road stretch from Canal Head to Bhagwati Nagar 4th Tawi Bridge is expected to face congestion and as such commuters are advised to use rest of the Tawi Bridges instead of 4th Tawi Bridge for North to South and vice versa movement for their destination. Some traffic related diversions as per ground requirement will be in place for ensuring smooth movement of Traffic.
