Jammu Srinagar National Highway Update for 14.03.2017

Occurring of landslide at Mehar (Ramban) and two others at Ramsoo, near Police Station and BDO office, the National Highway remained blocked throughout the day. After hectic efforts by the road maintenance agencies, road at one location at Ramsoo has been cleared-off and made worthy for one-way movement, yet the clearance work at two other locations is still going on. Though the weather all along the NHW is fair so far, yet occurring of fresh landslides during night hours cannot be ruled out.

Keeping In view the above facts and circumstances any decision regarding movement of traffic on the NHW shall be taken tomorrow after assessing weather / road condition afresh.

People are requested to contact TCU Srinagar (01942450022, 2485396), TCU Ramban (9419993745) and TCU Jammu (01912459048, 9419147732) and officers of Traffic wing to get the status of the road.
