Govt declared holiday on the day of polling

Govt declared holiday 0n the day of polling vide Government order No. 420 -GAD of 2017 Dated: 06 -4-2017, which reads as:-
Pursuant to the instructions of the Election Commission of India conveyed vide No. 78/EPS/2017 dated 23rd March, 2017, sanction is hereby accorded to the grant of paid holidays on 9th April, 2017 and 12th April, 2017 (the days of Polling) in the areas falling within the jurisdiction of 2-Srinagar and 3-Anantnag Parliamentary Constituencies, respectively, under the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 in favour of Government Employees/Semi-Government Employees/Industrial Workers who are voters in these constituencies so that they can cast their votes.
