Applications on plain paper are invited from the eligible candidates for the position of Research Associate available under the DST sponsored research project entitled “Convergence of Traditional Knowledge Systems for Integration to Sustainable Development in the Indian Himalayan Region” sanctioned to the undersigned. The applications with full details (name, qualifications, age, working contact number, e-mail ID, etc.) along with photostat copies of relevant documents should reach to the office of Centre for Biodiversity & Taxonomy, Department of Botany, University of Kashmir, Srinagar – 190 006, J & K by or before 16th December, 2017. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project. The date of interview will be communicated separately. Furthermore, no TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

Essential qualification

1. M.Sc. Botany/Environmental Sciences with minimum 55% marks
2. Ph. D. Botany/Environmental Sciences

Desirable experience

(i.) Research experience in field survey and sampling
(ii) Published research in traditional knowledge systems in the Himalayas
