J&K Govt Declaration of Holidays on Poll days.

Declaration of Poll days as public/paid Holidays In terms of Section 135 B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, it is hereby ordered that the following days shall be observed as public holidays in the Districts shown against each Parliamentary Constituency on account of General Elections to the Lok Sabha-2019 the poll days indicated above shall also be declared as paid holidays to every person employed in any business, trade, industrial undertakings or any other establishment and entitled to vote.

Daily waged/casual workers shall also be entitled for the holidays and wages on the poll days. a person who is ordinarily resident of constituency and registered as elector, serving/ employed in an Insdustrial undertaking or an Establishment located outside the constituency including casual workers shall also be entitled to the benefit of a paid Holiday on the day of poll .
