If you are interested in knowing about Jio GigaFiber’s availability in your area, you can simply go to Jio’s website for GigaFiber and register your name and other details. Once the registration is done, the website will show the availability of the service in your area. If you are interested in getting the installation done, a JioFiber representative will get in touch with you and will visit your place to install the equipment such as the router and connection.

What do you need to pay as installation charges?

As Jio said at the AGM event, new subscribers won’t have to pay any installation charges at the beginning. Jio will install the service and the box for free at your place. However, Jio is still charging a security deposit of Rs 2,500 which is refundable.

What Jio GigaFiber plans are available?

All of JioFiber’s commercial services will begin from September 5 which means subscribers will have to start paying for the broadband. Before September 5, if you want to install Jio GigaFiber at your home, you will continue to get free access to home broadband internet.

Jio has detailed the various JioFiber broadband plans as of now but it is said that monthly subscription plans will start from Rs 700 for the basic plan and go all the way up to Rs 10,000 per month. All the plans will offer varying speeds and data allotment. The base plan of Rs 700 per month will offer minimum network speeds of 100Mbps where the top plans can offer speeds up to 1Gbps. Jio will also offer Jio Forever annual plans for long term subscribers and under the JioFiber Welcome Offer, subscribers will get a free 4K Set Top Box along with a Full HD TV or a Home PC. Subscribers will also get a landline connection that offers free calls.
