As per the report of District Superintendents of Police of Jammu Zone, consequent upon the disengagement of VDC SPO(s) for various reasons, following vacancies of VDC SPOs have accrued in respective districts.

J&K Police 732 SPO District wise posts details.

• Kathua: 31 Posts
• Samba: 32 Posts
• Udhampur: 16 Posts
• Doda: 335 Posts
• Kishtwar: 180 Posts
• Reasi: 94 Posts
• Ramban: 44 Posts

In view of the present security scenario, it would not be desirable to weaken the existing VDCs It would also be advisable to have SPO(s) from the same village where the VDC is functioning and from where the VDC SPO was disengaged.

You are therefore advised to engage equal number of VDC SPO(s) as per the above vacancy position & instructions following the Physical. Educational and Age Standard prescribed by MHA within the next 15 days.

A compliance in his regard is expected by 15^th, August 2021.
