J&K Grant of UT Level Award to Handicrafts Artisans 2021

Applications on the prescribed form are invited from the interested registered artisans/crafts-persons of the Jammu division of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for their competitive participation In the “Grant of UT Level Awards to Handicrafts Artisans/craftsmen scheme” for the year 2021. The Awards shall be presented in the following– below mentioned crafts/group of crafts:

1. Carpet

2. Wood Carving/Chikri Wood products.

3. Bamboo Work.

4. Embroideries (Phoolkari, Chamba, Stapple, Crewel, Ari Work, Tapestry).

5. Basohli Painting.

6. Languishing and Innovative Crafts (Modern Art).

Classification of Awards

Each craft/craft group

a) 1st Prize

b) 2nd Prize

c) 3rd Prize

shall have three awards as detailed below:-Rs. 50,000/-Rs. 30,000/-Rs. 20,000/-

The Application forms shall be available free of cost in the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Jammu, JLN Udyog Bhawan, Panama Chowk, Jammu and all District offices of Assistant Directors Handicrafts of Jammu Division upto 30.09.2021.

Duly filled application forms complete in all respects should be delivered in the office of the Joint Director Handicrafts, Jammu, JLN Udyog Bhawan, 3rd Floor, Rail Head Complex, Jammu or in the office of Assistant Director Handicrafts of respective District.

The artisans who have already been awarded the National Award/National Merit certificate or 1st Prize in the erstwhile State Award, are not eligible to participate.

After receipt of entries, the selection for “Grant of UT Level Awards to Handicrafts Artisans/craftsmen” shall be made as per the codal procedure laid down in Govt. Order No. 111-Ind of 1999 dated 23.03.1999
