Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board JKSSB CBT Examination for the posts of J.E. (Civil) culminated successfully. JKSSB press release regarding J.E Civil Exams.

The Computer Based Written Test (CBT) for 209 posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) of Public Works (R&B) & Jal Shakti Departments, advertised vide 05 of 2020 (Item No. 130) and 01 of 2021 (Item No. 01) respectively held from 27 October, 2021 to 30th October, 2021 in multiple batches at 26 different locations/venues at 26 Examination Venues/Centres in Jammu, Kathua, Srinagar, Budgam and Baramu districts culminated successfully.

The JKSSB had received 22728 unique online applications from candidates for 209 posts of J.E. (Civil) of Public Works (R&B) & Jal Shakti Departments. Out of which 15894 (69.93 %) unique candidates have taken the aforesaid CBT examination. The CBT examination for the aforesaid posts of J.E. (Civil) culminated today on 30.10.2021.

Pertinently, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) under Accelerated Recruitment Programme is conducting Computer Based Written Test CBT Examination for 846 posts (including 209 aforesaid posts of JEs), advertised vide /Svert^n^nt Notification Nos 04, 05, 06, 07 of 2020 and 01 & 02 of 2021 from 27.10.2021 to 02.11.2021 and 08.11.2021 to 12.11.2021 at 26 Examination Venues/Centres in Jammu, Kathua, Srinagar, Budgam and Baramulla districts.

Adequate security arrangements have been put in place at each Examination Centre. The concerned District Magistrates have issued Prohibitory Orders under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) around the Examination Centres durina the timing of examination. A multi layered structure for supervision has also been established with one Centre Observer and Centre Magistrate, Invigilator staff for each Examination Centre. In addition, to ensure transparency and fairness during the examination process, the CBT is being conducted under CCIV surveillance. Besides, Additional District Development Commissioners of the aforementioned districts have been appointed as General Observers by the General Administration Department. The J&K Police has also deployed security personnel for frisking and maintenance of law and order at each venue/ location. The JKSSB has also deployed Liaison Officers/ District Observer(s) for each district in order to oversee the arrangements, coordination with various stakeholders and real-time redressal of issues, if any, at examination venues.

The aspiring candidates are cautioned against the activities of vested interests / unscrupulous elements and are advised not to fall prey to machinations of vested interests or unscrupulous elements who exploit and mislead aspirants by making false promises. The candidates who are being approached by such unscrupulous elements in any matter pertaining to recruitments of JKSSB are advised to immediately report about such persons to the JKSSB without any delay.

The candidates scheduled to take CBT examination are cautioned to desist from indulging in any unfair means practice like impersonation, carrying of prohibited items, communication device, electronic equipment/ gadget or any other material with the intention of receiving assistance. The candidates found to be attempting / using any unfair means practice during the examination, shall be dealt with strictly, as per the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (Conduct of Examinations) Regulations, 2013 including debarring of such candidates for appearing in future examinations.
