Selection of candidates for admission to the First Year of Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) and admission of candidates in direct Second Year of DHTT under lateral entry for the session 2022-23-Reg.
NOTIFICATION
Applications on the prescribed form (as per Annexure-II & III) are invited for selection of candidates for admission to the First Year of Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) and admission of candidates in direct Second Year of DHTT under lateral entry for the session 2022-23 at
the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Varanasi. The eligibility criteria and other details for admission to the Diploma Programme in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) are given as under:-

Stipend:
Each student admitted into the course, both to I year and II year under lateral entry, will be eligible for a Monthly Stipend of Rs. 2500/- to be paid 50% by Central Govt and 50% by State Government as per the guidelines, for the duration of course (tenable for 10 months per annum).
The payment of stipend is linked to the attendance and academic performance. Accordingly, the student must have 80% of class attendance to become eligible for the monthly stipend.
The student must not have any back paper and in special cases, one back paper is allowed to become eligible to get stipend.
The student selected for admission will be required to submit a declaration on a non-judicial stamp-paper (Rs. 100/-) duly attested by Notary in the prescribed form.
Reservation:
As per the UT Govt. Policy. In addition, a minimum 20% of the total seats allotted to the UT are reserved for candidates belonging to Weavers Community.
Shortfall, if any, will be met out from the candidates other than those belonging to the Weaver’s community.
Application forms are available in the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Jammu, JLN Udyog Bhawan, 3r<1 Floor, Rail Head Complex, Jammu and in all the Offices of Assistant Directors Handloom In every district of Jammu division. Besides, the application forms can be downloaded from the official website of Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Jammu www.dirhandicraftshandloomjmu.jk.gov.in
The complete forms should be delivered personally in the office of the Director Handicrafts & Handloom, Jammu, JLN Udyog Bhawan, 3rd Floor, Rail Head Complex, Jammu or in the office of Assistant Director Handloom of respective Districts, by or before 11.07.2022 for admission to the First Year of Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) and by or before 26.07.2022 for admission of candidates in direct Second Year of Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) under lateral entry for the session 2022-23, along with the following self-attested documents:-
- Educational Qualification Certificate.
- Matriculation Certificate for purpose of D.O.B.
- Domicile Certificate.
- Copy of Aadhar Card.
- Reserved Category Certificate, if any*.
Note: The candidate must submit one set of self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials from the last school or college attended and all other certificates if any. The Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate from the
last School/College attended will have to be submitted in original at the time of admission.
*If the candidate belongs to SC, ST, OBC, Weavers’ Community, Economically Weaker Section he/ she must submit self- attested copy of the certificate from the Competent Authority with the application form. OBC issued not older than 3 years from the closing date of application, EWS issued not older than 1 year from the closing date of application, Weaver Certificate should be issued not older than 6 months)
