Jammu University Jobs: Applications are invited from the candidates as per the eligibility (see below) for 02 Positions Project Associate II and Field Worker in the project entitled, “ Breaking the barrier of Saffron cultivation through technological interventions for enhancing production and livelihood of farmers in Kashmir and Non – traditional areas,” sanctioned by the DBT, Govt. of India.

Project Associate II (01 No.)

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Microbiology/ from a recognized University or equivalent and ii) 2 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations

Desirable Qualification: Experience of various microbiological and biotechnological techniques, handling high end instruments. Willing to travel to different areas of J&K.

Upper Age limit: 35 years

Monthly Emoluments in Rupees:  i) 35,000/-pm + 16% HRA to candidates who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests– CSIR-UGC NET including lecturership (Assistant Professorship), or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level Examinations conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions. ii) 28,000 + 16% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Field Worker (01 No.)

Essential Qualification: Graduate in Science with Botany/Zoology/Biotechnology as one of the subjects

Desirable Qualification: Experience in working in a crop field, Plant sample collection, herbarium, Botanical garden,etc. Knowledge about handling equipment. Willing to travel to different areas of J&K.

Age limit: 50 years

Salary: 18,000/-pm + 16% HRA
