ADVERTISEMENT FOR TERRITORIAL ARMY RECRUITMENT OF 159 INFANTRY BATTALION (TERRITORIAL ARMY) (HOME & HEARTH) DOGRA

159 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home & Hearth) DOGRA will be organising recruitment rally at Chinchora, Doda (Jammu and Kashmir) from 07 December 2025 to 18 December 2025. Eligible candidates volunteer to join the Territorial Army may report for screening at 0700 Hr as per given schedule.

Entry from main Gate will open at 0700 Hr and close at 0900 Hr strictly. Document checking, screening and medical test of candidates screened in the rally will be held at the venue.

2. Area/wise schedule of Recruitment is as under:

Vacancies:

Soldier (General Duty) – 166

Eligibility Conditions:
4.1 Age – 17½ to 21 years (candidate must be born between 18 December 2004 to 18 June 2008).
4.2 Marital Status – Unmarried male candidates only.
4.3 Educational Qualification – Class 10th / Matric pass with 45% marks aggregate and 33% in each subject.
– For open board candidates: Matric passed with 33% overall and 33% in individual subjects & C2 grade or above.
4.4 Domicile – As applicable.

Physical Standards:
4.5.1 Height – 160 cm
4.5.2 Weight – Proportionate to height & age as per Army Medical Standard
4.5.3 Chest – 82 cm (77 cm unexpanded)
4.6 Relaxation in Physical Standards:

Sons of servicemen / ex-servicemen / war widows – 2 cm height, 2 kg weight, 1 cm chest

Outstanding sports persons (National/State) – 3 cm height, 3 kg weight, 3 cm chest

Physical Fitness Test:

1 Mile Run

Pull Ups

Zigzag Balance

9 Feet Ditch

Written Examination:
Candidates qualifying medical & physical tests will undergo a written exam (bilingual – Hindi & English).

Marking Scheme:

Each correct answer: 2 marks

Each incorrect answer: –1 mark

Unattempted: 0 marks
