Recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Fellow in IUAC Sponsored Research Project

Applications in prescribed format are invited from Indian Nationals for one temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Fellow in the IUAC sponsored research project entitled “Ion beam induced defect engineering for thermoelectric applications (UFR-76304)” under the supervision of Dr. Ashish Kumar (Principal Investigator), Dept. of Physics and Astronomical Sciences, Central University of Jammu, Jammu-181143, J&K.

Sponsoring Agency : Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi

Project Duration : Three Years

Tenure of the Assignment : 01 year extendable to another 2 years (annually) based on satisfactory performance recommended by PI/competent authority.

Job Description : To carry out the research work (experimental) related to the project in close collaboration with IUAC, New Delhi.

Monthly Fellowship : For NET/GATE qualified candidates: Rs. 25,000/- only per month for the initial two years and Rs 28,000/- only per month for third/final year. For Non-NET/GATE qualified candidates: Rs. 16,000/- only per month for the initial two years and Rs 18,000/- only per month for third/final year.

Essential Qualifications : 
Master’s degree in Physics/Applied Physics from a recognized University/Institution with 55% Marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. Relaxation in marks is given as per GOI. NET (JRF)/GATE/SET qualified candidates in the relevant subject will be preferred.

Desirable : Any research experience in experimental work in materials science will be preferred.

General Terms and Conditions :

1) The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the project.

2) Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project.

3) The services of the selected candidate will be as per CUJ & IUAC guidelines.

4) The selected candidate may be considered for admission to Ph.D., program as per the eligibility, rules and statutes of the University.

5) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

6) Any other allowances like HRA, Medical, etc. will not be paid to the JRF/Project Fellow.

7) The mode of interview, date, time and venue or link will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates via e-mail only.

8) Candidate shall bring along with them all the original degrees/certificates and experience certificates at the time of interview for verification.

9) The candidate is expected to join immediately, if selected.
