The Seed Development Division, Jammu, J&K Forest Research Institute is executing a survey based project titled “QR Based Digital Geotagging of Peepal and Banyan Trees in J&K” in Jammu province of the U.T. In order to conduct survey and to assist in other assignments regarding the said project, applications from interested candidates of Sununu Region are invited for a walk-in test (written test) for temporary position (three months) of Junior Research follow. The written test shall be followed by an interview to engage suitable candidate. Description of task:

i. To assist in survey of Peepal and Banyan trees in Jammu province.

ii. To assist in collecting the data of Peepal and Banyan trees as per standard format.

iii. To convert collected data in soft form to develop QR code for Pccpal and Banyan trees.

iv. To assist in compiling the project report & District wise Heritage Registers. The eligibility, educational qualification, monthly emoluments and number of positions arc as below:

Skills & Experience :

i. Experience of carrying site visits, using GPS, Hypsometer for survey/data collection. Candidates having knowledge/ qualification of computers & GIS would be given preference.

Selection Process :-

Applicants must submit his/her application as per prescribed in the office of DFO Seed Development Division Jammu, J&K FRI Complex Janipur by or before 09.01.2024. He / She shall appear in a written examination to be conducted on 11.01.2024 and based on the performance in written/ screening test. The shortlisted candidates shall be called for viva voice on 15.01.2024. The breakup of the marks is given as follows

General Terms & Conditions :

i. Eligible candidates, satisfying the eligibility criteria should report at 10.30 AM on 11.01.2024 for registration and scrutiny of documents followed by the Walk-in test on the same day at 11.30 AM.

ii. The Walk-in test shall be organized at JKERI Complex, Janipur Jammu (Near last Matador stand Janipur Colony).

iii. Shortlisted candidates shall appear for viva voice on 15.01.2024.

iv. Candidates should submit the application as per format along with one passport size photograph, copies of self attested testimonials of educational qualifications, research experience, marks sheets of all examinations, etc.

v. All original documents /certificates must be produced for verification at the time of selection.

vi. The engaged JRFs shall have to work strictly as per work schedule and calendar of project.

vii. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the walk in test/Interview.

viii. A copy of specific and detailed terms & conditions for executing project work shall be provided to the selected candidates after completion of the selection procedure.
