J&K National Institute of Technology Srinagar Hazratbal Srinagar Kashmir NIT Srinagar Jobs Engagement of Technical Assistant (on Contract) for “Shaikhul Alam Sheikh Nuruddin Chair” in Water Resources Management Centre.

Ministry of Jal Shakti (previously the Ministry of Water Resources), Government of India has set up a ‘PROFESSORIAL CHAIR’ entitled “Shaikhul Alam Sheikh Nuruddin Chair” for Water Resources “at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, for carrying out the studies in Water Resources with emphasis on impact of Climate Change on it and adaption of strategies in respect of Planning and Management of Water Resources Systems of particularly, INDUS BASIN. To fill up the position of Technical Assistant for the Chair on Contract basis, applications are invited from the interested eligible candidates.

Eligibility for NIT Srinagar Jobs.

1. The candidate should possess minimum, a Master’s Degree in Geo-Informatics/Environmental Engineering/Hydrology/Water Resources Engineering/Soil and Water Engineering.

2. The candidate must have a sufficient know-how of using the various GIS and Hydrology related software like Arc GIS, HEC -RAS, HEC HMS, MIKE SHE, SWAT etc.

3. The candidate must have an Industry/Research experience of minimum 02 years in the relevant field of Water Resources/Hydrology/Climate Change/ Geo-Informatics. However, for a candidate with Ph.D Degree, the condition of experience is exempted.

4. The already superannuated Professionals of the relevant filed & experience and fulfilling other requirements can also apply for the said position.

Honorarium

Rs. 35,000/- per month (Consolidated)

Age

The age of the applicants should be preferably within 65 years Tenure

The Tenure of the appointment to the position would be for a period of 02 years initially, with a provision for future extension.

IV. V. Any dispute regarding the selection/recruitment process will be restricted within J&K High Court at Srinagar.
