Jammu and Kashmir National Institute of Technology Srinagar invite applications from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India funded research project (EEQ/2021/000754) entitled “Molecular Engineering on Porphyrins Skeleton to Develop Novel Nanotweezers and Nanocalipers for Carbon Nanotube Extraction”. The duration of the project is three (03) years.

Eligibility	M.Sc. in Chemistry with minimum 60% aggregate marks (CGPA>6.5/10) to qualify under Open/OBC category and minimum 55% aggregate marks (CGPA>6.0) for candidates under SC/ST/PWD category. Must have Qualified CSIR-UGC NET or GATE
Desirable	Candidates with organic specialization and experience in synthetic Organic/Porphyrin Chemistry will be preferred
Age	Upper age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation for reserve candidate will be given as per UGC/DST/Govt. norms.
Emoluments	?31,000/-per month + HRA @16%

Screening & Interview Process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project. Mere qualification of eligibility criteria does not guarantee for shortlisting.

The interview shall be tentatively conducted in the month of May 2022 in physical mode depending on the situation. The mode of interview, date, time and venue will be intimated to short-listed candidates via e-mail
only.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview in physical mode.

Candidates who are already employed should produce ‘No objection Certificate’ (NOC) from the employer.
