SKUAST-J, Main Campus, Chatha Jobs Advertisement Notice for filling of consolidated position of SRF under the project “Forecasting Agricultural Output uses Space, Agrometeorology and Land based observations (FASAL)” as detailed below:

Name of the Posts: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Emoluments per month.

Rs.31000/- + HRA (as admissible) for M.Sc for (Ist + II nd Year) and III rd year Rs.35000/- +HRA (as admissible )

Essential Qualification.

Post Graduate degree (M.Sc / M.Tech in discipline of Meteorology or M.Sc (Agriculture) in Agril. Meteorology, Agronomy, Soil Science & Agril. Chemistry, Agricultural Statistics, Masters in Computer Applications from a recognized University/ Institution.

Desirable Qualification.

Candidates having knowledge/ experience in Meteorological data processing, remote sensing & in computer will be preferred.

How to apply SKUAST Jammu.

The application should reach in the office of PI (FASAL Project), Agrometeorology Section, Division of Agronomy, Block No.3, 1st Floor, FoA, SKUAST-J, Main Campus, Chatha along with self attested copies of the certificates on or before 04.02.2021. This position is purely temporary to be filled on consolidated basis initially upto March, 2021.

The engagement stands terminated on the completion of the project with no claim on the permanent absorption in this University.

Interview Schedule SKUAST Jammu.

The eligible candidates will be interviewed at the office of the Directorate of Research, SKUAST-J, Chatha on 08.02.2021 at 11:00 AM.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

• The candidates shall have no legal right to claim his/her regularization/ appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular post in the university or any further contractual engagement on termination of the said project. The engagement is purely time bound, non-regular and co-terminus basis with the project. The services of the incumbent shall stand terminated automatically on expiry of the period of the said project.
• This position is purely filled on consolidated basis initially upto 31st March, 2021 and extendable up to expiry of the project on the basis of performance of the appointee.
• Candidates will be assigned the duties to conduct field trials, collect meteorological as well as cropcut data, analysis of crop as well as meteorological data, development of crop yield forecasting models and also dissemination of result of models to the different users
• No separate intimation shall be issued & no TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
