SKUAST Jammu Project Assistant Jobs.

SKUAST Jammu Applications in prescribed format are invited from the eligible candidates for the temporary position of Project Assistant under the ad-hoc project entitled “Empowering Pastoral SC/ST Communities in the Union Territory of J&K through Technological Innovations in Equine Management”; funded by ICAR, NRCE.

Essential Qualifications Masters/Ph.D degree in Microbiology, Vety. Pathology/Biotechnology

Desirable Qualifications Experience in handling animals, field work, sample collection etc. Preference will be given to the candidate who has experienced in molecular and other lab techniques.

Terms and Conditions for the Project:

The candidates shall have no legal right to claim his/her regularization/appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular post or any other contractual engagement as the project is purely time bound and non-regular.

The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project. The services of the incumbent shall stand terminated automatically on expiry of the period of the project with no claim on the permanent absorption in this University.

The position is purely temporary and extension shall be granted on the basis of performance of the appointee. The University/funding agency/PI reserves the right to withdraw advertised posts at any stage without assigning any reason and terminate on non-performance.

The appointee can be terminated at any time by the university without assigning any reason thereof.

No objection and experience certificate from the current employer in case she/he is in employment.

Selected candidates will have to join duty within a period of one week time after the receipt of the offer letter.

Pura, Jammu-181102, J&K on or before 20.11.2025. The eligible candidates fulfilling the essential qualification will be intimated through email for an interview to be held in the office of Director Research, SKUAST-J, Administrative Block, Chatha- 180009, Jammu. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
