Social Welfare Department Jobs Recruitment 2024.

Applications for the post of Chairperson and Members of the Jammu & Kashmir Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Applications are invited from eligible interested persons for appointment of Chairperson and Members, J&K Commission for Protection of Child Rights in terms of Jammu & Kashmir Commission for Protection of Child Rights Rules, 2022 notified vide S.0 542 dated 21.10.2022.

The details are as follows :

Eligibility Criteria :

a. Age : Minimum- 35 years

Maximum- 65 years for Chairperson and 60 years for members as on 1st January of the year in which advertisement notice is issued.

b. Qualification :

Graduation in one of the following disciplines :-

i. Management

ii. Law

iii. Psychology

iv. Sociology/ Social Work

v. Education

c. Experience : Minimum experience of 10 years in the areas as specified in Rule 3 (1) of the J&K Commission for protection of Child Rights Rules, 2022.

Break -up

1. Graduation in the relevant discipline: 40 points.

2. Post-graduation in the relevant discipline: 10 points.

3. Any other higher qualification like Phd/Mphil etc in the relevant discipline: 10 points

4. Working experience of minimum 10 years in Government institutions/ registered NG0s/ CSOs in relevant disciplines: 15 points.

5. Additional experience beyond 10 years: 01 point per additional year of experience subject to maximum of 05 points.

6. Viva Voce: 20 points.

Salary and allowances of the Chairperson : Chairperson and members shall be entitled to emoluments as prescribed by the Government.

Terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson or Members :

i. The appointment shall be governed as per the terms and conditions laid down under the provisions of Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005 and J&K commission for Protection of Child Rights * Rules, 2022.

ii. Out of 06 members being appointed, two of them shall be women.

iii. Incomplete applications and applications received after the stipulated date and time shall be rejected.

iv. The application of the candidate who does not fulfill the criteria as prescribed in Act and Rules in this regard shall be rejected.

v. The Chairperson shall, unless removed from office under section 7, hold office for a period of three years, or till the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier.

vi. The members shall, unless removed from office under section 7, hold office for a period of three years or till the age of sixty years whichever is earlier.

Conditions for ineligibility :

i. Past record of violation of human rights or child rights.

ii. Conviction and sentence for imprisonment of an offense which in the opinion of the Government involves moral turpitude.

iii. Removal or dismissal from service of the Central Government or a Union Territory Government or a body or corporation owned or controlled by the Central Government or a Union Territory Government.

iv. Member of Parliament or be a Member of Legislature of any State/ Union Territory and or a person holding any office of trust or profit.

v. In case she/ he carries on any business or practices any profession, she/ he shall suspend as the case may be such business of practice before she/he assumes her/his office.
