QUALIFICATIONS PRESCRIBED FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANTPROFESSOR:

i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point
Scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in concernedSubject from an
Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
ii) NET shall be the compulsory requirement for those with Post-Graduate Degrees only. But, in respect
of candidates who belong to J&K State and are not NET qualified, SET shall be the compulsory
requirement.
iii) The candidates without NET or SET having Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject in compliance of
the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D.Degree) Regulations, 2009, with
amendments from time to time shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility conditions
of NET/SET.
iv) A relaxation of 5% in marks shall be provided at the Master’s level for the scheduled caste /
scheduled tribe / Differently- abled)/ other Backward classes (OBC) categories for the purpose of
eligibility.
D) Besides fulfilling conditions (ii) , (iii) and (iv) of eligibility specified above at ‘C’, the qualifications for
the following posts shall be as under:-
a. For the Post of Assistant Professor in Disaster Management:
i) A Master’s Degree in Disaster Management /Geography/ Geology/ Env. Science with at least 55%
marks (orequivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
b. For the Post of Assistant Professor in Renewable Energy:
M.Tech / M.E through GATE/ Ph.D in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Chemical Engineering, with
specialization in Renewable Energy from an Indian University, or an equivalentdegree from an
accredited foreign Universityhaving good academic record with, at least, First class at Masters level (or
an equivalent grade in a point scalewherever grading system is followed).
Note: Candidates holding Ph.D degree in the above branches of Engineering in accordance with UGC
regulations shall be preferred.
c. For the Post of Assistant Professor in Tourism & Heritage Management:
Master’s Degree in Tourism Management / Tourism and Travel Management with specialization in
Heritage Management from an Indian University, or anequivalent degree from an accredited foreign
Universityhaving Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point
scalewherever grading system is followed).

SUBMISSION OF ON-LINE APPLICATION FORMS:

Step 1: Visit www.cusrinagar.edu.in and Click on Jobs/Recruitment link.Read detailed Important
Instructions and preview of whole process for Registration and submission of Application Form before
proceeding ahead.
Step 2: Candidate needs to register him/herself before submitting the Online Application. For
Registration, Click on the Register as an Applicant link. Remember the Username and Password for
future reference. Use valid Email ID and mobile number during registration process.
Step 3: After successful Registration, Login into the system by using your Username and Password.
Step 4: Key in the personal details, educational qualifications, experience etc then Preview the Form,
if details are correct, Click on Submit. If there is variation or you want toupdate, Click on Preview
button, make corrections, updating and then Submit. Remember, no editing or updating is allowed
after the Form is submitted. Geta print out of the application form and note the Form No. for future
reference.
Step 5: Select payment mode for depositing Application Fee (Online mode or against the pay-in-slip).
Deposit the Application Fee of Rs. 1500/-, through Online mode or against the bank pay-in-slip
generated with the Application Form, in any of the branches of the J&K Bank, across the country

H) SUBMISSION OF DOWNLOADED APPLICATION FORM (HARD COPY)
Submit a Print-out of the Application Form submitted online along with the enclosures, duly numbered
at right hand top margin, as per the auto-generated serial numbers against each entry, bank pay-inslip/online
payment acknowledgement, properly bounded, either personally or through post to the Office
of the Registrar Cluster University Srinagar-190001, (S. P. College, Srinagar) J&K, through Speed
Post/Registered post.Candidates sending print-out of their Application Forms by post should ensure
that the envelope containing Application Form is super-scribed as “Application for the post
of………………………, Post ID ………… Advertisement notice No. ………. Dated ………….” and
reaches by or before the last date.
