50-Year-Old Woman Swept Away by River in Kupwara

A 50-year-old woman lost her life after accidentally slipping into a river in the Kalaroos area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday Morning.

According to reports, the woman identified as Begum Jan slipped into the river at Nagsari Kalaroos and was swiftly carried away by the forceful flow of water. Despite the best efforts of local residents and the police, she couldn’t be rescued in time.

The search and rescue operation continued, and ultimately, her lifeless body was recovered at Khumriyal village, located several kilometers downstream from the site where she fell into the river.(KNS).
