88,040 registered unemployed literate youth in J&K : GOVT

Jammu and Kashmir state is having 88,040 unemployed literate youth, which is registered. However, registration is voluntary and the figure is higher than this.

Replying to the question of BJP’s state president and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma, Minister Incharge Labour and Employment Department in the written reply informed that total 88,040 unemployed youth are registered with government in the state, whereas figure may be higher.

While, the detail of the unemployed youth in various categories revealed that total 17351 post graduates in different streams, 6586 graduates, 3321 engineers, 185 doctors, 11 PHDs and 60586 youth who are literate in other streams are still unemployed.
