Jammu Srinagar NHW-44 traffic update 09 Dec 2020.

In view of inclement weather prediction issued by MeT department (rain and snowfall) in J&K for next few days, there are chances of blockade of NHW -44. People are advised to avoid journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW-44.

However, subject to fair weather and better road condition, Light Motor Vehicles (passenger) shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (Commuters are advised to follow the SOP issued by the Govt, to prevent the spread of Covid 19)

CUTOFF TIMING:

LMVs from Zig (Qazigund) 0700 hrs to 1200 hrs

No Vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing.

HMVs/Load Carriers

Only stranded Vehicles between Jawahar Tunnel and Zig (Qazigund) shall be allowed towards Jammu. However, TCU Ramban will co-ordinate for release of oil tankers and fresh perishable carriers in the opposite direction.

SFs Convoy Movement

Security Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. They may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu.

NOTE:- On 11 -12-2020 Friday, there shall be no traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar NHW from either side in view of maintenance/ repairing of the NHW.

People are advised to undertake journey on NHW-44 only after confirming status of the road from Traffic control units as under:-
