Jammu Srinagar NHW Morning Traffic update 05 April.

Traffic update at 0730 hrs Traffic plying on NH-44. SSG road closed due fresh snowfall and Mughal road is already closed.

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR

1. From 03-04-2023.1700 hrs. to 04-04-2023, 1700 hrs Jammu Srinagar NHW remained blocked for 02 hrs. 09 mins due to shooting stones at Panthyal / cafeteria. NAVYUG Tunnel closed for 02 hours 53 mins and C-N Tunnel closed for 01 hour 21 mins by Tunnel authorities, making the total blockage of 06 hours 28 mins. Alan slow movement on NH-44 due to breakdown of 03 HMVs between Nashri ,and NAVYUG Tunnel.

2. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

3. NHIA has been directed by the Government to repair and maintenance works on NH-44 in District RscobSQ on Friday. 7th April 2023. Because of this necessary repair work traffic will remain suspended.

4. There shall be no vehicular movement on Friday on Srinagar-£g&aoj^-£y£M8&&roab from either side in view of road maintenance on La Axis.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 05-04-2023

Subject to fair weather and ro9d clearance. LMVs Passenger/Pnvate Cars shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. TCU Jammu’Srinagar shall be liaise with TCU RatOftaO before releasing the traffic.

CUT OFF TIMINGS FOR LMVS/PASSENGER/PRIVATE CARS To be released from Usacftta (Jammu) from 0700 hrs. to 1200 hrs. from Jakb&jy (Udhampur) 0800 hrs to 1300 hrs & from NAVYUG Tunnel (£?& side) 0700 hrs to 1200 hrs.

TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar will inform all concerned about the traffic advisory and cut off timings. No vehicle shall be allowed to move before and after cut off timings.

HMVs’Loao Carrier.s.-

Subject to fair weather and better road conditions. HMVs shall be allowed from NAVYUG Tunnel (SJs&QWGJlside) towards Jammu after assessing the road and traffic situation on NH-44. TCU Srinagar shall liaise with TCU before releasing the HMVs.

SFs Convoy Movement;

Security Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of possible traffic congestion because of narrow carriage way between and Banihal

on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. Tomorrow they may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu after confirming the status of NHW from TCU RgtOelSO

SSG ROAD

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, only one way traffic, only LMVs Goods’passenger) from Srinagar towards Kargil shall be allowed on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari Road. These vehicles shall be allowed from S&OaCRSfO at 0700 hrs. yptft0830 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing

Motorists are advised to carry anti-skid chain to gain more grip on the slippery road.

No vehicle shall be allowed without anti skid chain

MUGHAL ROAD.-

Mughal Road closed for vehicular movement as per District Magistrate Shopian’s order §&&& no DMSi’PA/2023/1362-67 dated 05-01-2023 in view of snow accumulation.
