National Highway-1A Traffic Update

Traffic Update
Dated 18.12.2015 0800 hours
National Highway-1A through for traffic, both ways. Traffic will be allowed to ply both ways with the following restrictions in view of slippery condition of road:-
From Jammu (Nagrota) Srinagar bound passenger vehicles will be allowed to move only between 06 AM to 01 PM while heavy vehicles will be permitted only between 6.30 AM to 11. 30 AM. No Srinagar bound passenger vehicle will be permitted to cross Udhampur (Jekhani Chowk) after 2.30 PM while no heavy vehicle will be permitted after 1.30 PM.
From Qazigund light motor vehicles shall be permitted to move towards Jammu only between 8. 30 AM to 3 PM while heavy vehicles shall be permitted only between 9 AM to 2 PM.
Due to slippery condition of the road, movement of traffic on Mughal road shall be allowed from Shopian as well as from Chandimarh side only between 0900 hours to 1600 hours.
Srinagar-Kargil road through for one way traffic. Movement of traffic will be permitted from Sonamarg towards Drass side. Cut off at Sonamarg shall be 1300 hours for all types of vehicles.
Bandipore-Gurez road closed for all sort of traffic.
Synthan-Kishtwar road closed for traffic.
