NEET UG 2025: 50,000 J&K Aspirants to Take Exam Today Across 128 Centres

In a significant academic milestone, nearly 50,000 aspirants from Jammu and Kashmir are set to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) – NEET (UG) 2025 today. The examination is being conducted across 128 designated centres spread throughout the Union Territory, including both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting NEET (UG) 2025 for admission to undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, and other allied programs. This year has witnessed a surge in registrations from the region, reflecting the growing interest of students in the medical field.

Authorities have made extensive arrangements to ensure a smooth and secure conduct of the examination. Security personnel, observers, and medical teams have been deployed at all centres, and candidates were advised to reach well ahead of reporting time to facilitate hassle-free entry and biometric verification.

Education officials have expressed satisfaction with the preparedness, stating that all logistical and safety protocols have been followed. Parents and guardians were seen accompanying candidates early in the morning, braving the summer heat and traffic congestion.

The exam, which will last for three hours and twenty minutes, is being held under strict guidelines laid down by the NTA, including prohibitions on electronic gadgets and specific dress codes.

Results are expected to be declared by mid-June, paving the way for counselling and admissions into prestigious medical colleges across the country.
