No restrictions, internet shutdown in Kashmir on Independence Day.

The internet will not be shut down in Kashmir on Independence Day, unlike the previous two years, and no passes are required to attend the festivities anywhere in Kashmir.

“On the night before Independence Day, there won’t be any restrictions in Kashmir. The internet services won’t be suspended, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Kashmir’s Divisional Commissioner, said reporters on Saturday.

On Independence Day in J&K, internet services have not been interrupted since 2021.

For the first time since August 2005, J&K was able to celebrate Independence Day without having internet or mobile service limitations in 2021.
