Srinagar Jammu NHW traffic update for 07-12-2020.

Subject to fair weather and better road condition, Light Motor Vehicles (passenger) shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (Commuters are advised to follow the SOP issued by the Govt, to prevent the spread of Covid 19)

CUTOFF TIMING:

LMVs from Zig (Qazigund) 0700 hrs to 1200 hrs

No Vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing.

HMVs/Load Carriers

Only stranded vehicles between Jawahar Tunnel and Zig shall be allowed toward Jammu.

SFs Convoy Movement

Security Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. They may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu.

NOTE:- On 11 -12-2020 Friday, there shall be no traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar NHW from either side in view of maintenance/ repairing of the NHWP.

MUGHAL ROAD

Subject to fair weather and good road condition (only downward traffic) load carriers carrying fresh fruits/vegetables shall be allowed from Herpora (Shopian) from 1100 hrs to 1600 hours towards Poonch. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing. Moreover, no passenger vehicle or pedestrian shall be allowed on Mughal Road.

SSG ROAD

SSG Road is closed due to snow accumulation.

People are advised to undertake journey on NHW-44 only after confirming status of the road from Traffic control units as under:-
