Weather update for J&K and Ladakh.

Very light rain with thunder occured at isolated places of J&K during past 24 hrs. Currently weather is overcast with some stations reporting light to moderate Rain in J&K and generally cloudy in Ladakh.

Forecast for next week: Fairly widespread to Moderate rain with thunderstorm & gusty winds (at some places) most likely during next 12-24 hrs in J&K, Kargil district of Ladakh . Significant improvement is expected from tomorrow afternoon onwards; No forecast of any Heavy Rain.

Present Rain with thunder may led to landslide in Banihal-Ramban axis. Farmers are advised to suspend Spraying of their Orchards for next 2 to 3 days.

Intermittent spells of rain and thundershower with strong winds will occur over Kupwara, Pulwama, Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Samba, Shopian, Srinagar, Udhampur districts during next 12-18 hours: MeT
