Admission open to Diploma in Handloom and Textile Technology DHTT.

Applications for admission to the Diploma Programme in Handloom and Textile Technology (DHTT) programme.

Applications are invited selection of candidates for admission to the First Year Diploma In Handloom and Textile Technology (DHTT) programme and Direct Second Year of Three Years Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology programme under Lateral Entry for the academic session 2023-24, at the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Varanasi.

The eligibility criteria and other details for admission to the Diploma Programme in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) are given as under:-

Diploma In Handloom and Textile Technology (DHTT)	Three (3) Years	Passed 10th Std./SSC examination. Obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination with English as a subject of study.
Diploma In Handloom and Textile Technology (DHTT) (Direct Second year admission under Lateral Entry	Two (2) Years	Should have passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry OR Should have passed 10+2 examination in the vocational stream of any Textile discipline* OR 10th pass + ITI (2 YEARS) shall be eligible for admission to second Year Diploma Course.*

Age Limit:

The maximum age limit for the candidates belonging to all categories except SC/ST is 23 years for the first year and 25 years for the direct 2nd year.
In respect of SC/ST candidates, the maximum age limit is 25 years for 1st Year and 27 Years for the direct 2nd year as on 01st July 2023.

Stipend:

Each Student admitted into the course, both to 1 year and IInd year under lateral entry will be eligible for a monthly Stipend of Rs.2500 to be paid 50% by Central Govt. and 50 % by the State Govt. as per the guidelines, for the duration of the course (tenable for 10 months per annum).

Application forms

shall be available in the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Jammu, and all the District Offices of Assistant Director Handloom of this Directorate and can also be downloaded from the official website of this Directorate i.e www.dirhandicraftshandloomjmu.jk.gov.in.

How to apply: Application complete in all respect along with self attested copies of the required document shall be submitted to the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Jammu 3rd Floor, JLN Udhyog Bhawan, Rail Head Complex, Jammu 180011 or in the Office of Assistant Director Handloom of respective districts by or before 31/05/2023.
