SKUAST Jammu admission open for Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture

Applications as per the prescribed format (Annexure-A to this notification) are invited from the eligible permanent residents of different districts of Jammu Province of J&K State (Jammu province only) for admission to the following diploma courses during the academic session 2017-18.

Eligibility:
Pass in 10+2 examination with science subjects. Candidates possessing Short Term

Certificate courses in respective discipline from ICAR recognized Universities/Institutions shall be given preference.

Age:
Not less than 17 years as on 31-12-2017

Duration: One year.

How to apply:
The application on the prescribed form duly signed by the applicant complete in all respects accompanied with crossed demand draft amounting to Rs. 200/- only on account of application charges drawn in favour of Comptroller SKUAST-J payable at RCC Jammu must reach the office of the Registrar SKUAST-J main Campus Chatha, Jammu-180009 on or before 09-3-2018. However, the desirous in- service State Govt, employees shall submit their application on or before 09-03-2018 duly recommended and forwarded by their employer along with prescribed application fee. The application form must be supported with the following attested documents.

1. Marks certificate of 10+2 or equivalent examination
2. Date of Birth certificate (Matriculation)
3. State Subjects Certificate
4. Character Certificate
5. Category Certificate

Selection:       

Selection for admission to Diploma courses in Agriculture/Horticulture in case of fresh

candidates shall be made on the basis of Districtwise merit obtained by the candidates in qualifying examination i.e, 10+2 or equivalent and in case of State Govt, inservice employees 05 seats each are reserved for the employees working in State Agriculture Production Department and Horticulture Department, respectively. (Only those inservice candidates should apply who are fulfilling the minimum eligibility norms in terms of qualification). However separate notification shall be issued for the inservice SKUAST-J and State Government employees appointed in their respective organizations prior to 7-08-2012 who do not fulfill the minimum eligibility w.r.t. qualification.
