Sub: Prime Ministers Special Scholarship Scheme for the students of J&K-setting up of facilitation centers thereof.

PUBLIC NOTICE
It is published for information of all the students of J&K aspiring to avail the benefit under Prime Ministers Special Scholarship Scheme that online registration is open for the session 2016-17 w.e.f. 14th of March, 2016. Students having domicile of Jammu and Kashmir State and those who have passed Class 12th examination in academic year 2014-15 or appeared in 2015-16 from the J&K Board of CBSE affiliated schools located in J&K are only eligible for registration.

Eligibility:

■ Students having domicile of Jammu and Kashmir and who are of academic year 2015-16/2014-15, from J&K Board or CBSE affiliated schools in J&K.

■ Secure admission on their own to institutions which are recognized by AICTE or approved by UGC under section 12 (B) or respective regulatory body or taken admission in the institute allotted through counseling for supernumerary seat.

■ Having family income of less than Rs. 6 Lac per annum.

■ Students have to compulsorily apply online for registration on AICTE web portal http:// www.aicte-ik-scholarship-qov.in

(For the Session 2017-18)

Note: The selection of students for the scholarship will be strictly based on merit and as per the approved procedure for 2016-17. Students who have been granted scholarship under this scheme in previous years are not eligible to apply in 2016-17. NGOs have no role to play and aspirants are warned against admission through NGOs under the scheme.
