J&K Legal Metrology Department JLM Shortlisted Candidates for the posts of Class-IV (Divisional Cadre) Kashmir vide Notice No.01 of 2017 dated 08-12-2017.

Whereas, the Legal Metrology Department, vide Advertisement Notice No.01 of 207 dated 08.12.2017 had invited
applications from the permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir State(Kashmir Division) for recruitment of suitable
persons against 14 no.of Class -IV posts(Watchman/Chowkidar/Orderly) In the Department with the following breakup:

Whereas, after the expiry of the t me period Le. 30 days the Department received 2964 applications; and
Whereas, as per standing rules, the candidates are required to be shortlisted for interview on the basis of merit of the candidates strictly as per their qualification; and
Whereas, a Committee headed by Joint Controller, LMD Kashmir was constituted vide Order No.20-LM of 2018 dated 02.03.2018 for scrutinizing the applications forms strictly as per the eligibility condition laid by the General Administration Department and Whereas, the Committee after scrutinization of application forms, eligibility criteria, furnished the merit Ilst vide communication no. LM/JCIVEsstt./46/18 dated 21.05.2018; and
Whereas, as per the laid down criteria the following no. of candidates are required to be shortlisted for Interview: and
1. Ratio to be followed = 1: 5 (Five candidates for one post).
2. Weightage to basic qualification (10th) = 60 Points on pro-rata basis.
3. Weightage for higher qualification (12th) = 20 Points on pro-rata basis.

Now, therefore, the list of such shortlisted candida es strictly as per the laid down criteria is hereby annexed as Annexure “A” to this notification for information of the applicants which is also available on the Departmental website Jklm.nic.ln. Any of the applicant(s), if aggrieved with the said list can represent in the Office of the Controller Legal Metrology, J&K, SDA Colony, Bemina, Srinagar along with proof if any for necessary rectification within a period of 21 days failing which, it shall be presumed that none of the applicants has any observation. The interview schedule of the short-listed candidates shall be notified separately.

Note: The short-listing of the candidates Is purely provisional and deficiency, If, found any at a later stage, the candidature of such candidate(s) shall be deemed to be canceled without any further intimation.
