J&K Police Selection List of Special Police Officers (SPOs) of District Rajouri.

Reference: PHQ J&K Srinagar letter No.GB/M-09/2014-II/56257-70 dated 19- 09-2019 endorsed by ZPHQ Jammu vide No.PS/S-27/2019/1521-34 dated 21-09-2019.

Whereas, in pursuance to above referred PHQ J&K/ ZPHQ Jammu communications, Advertisement for 150 positions of SPOs notified vide DPO Rajouri

Notices No. 31676-710 Dated 24-09-2019 read with Notice No.Pers/S-3A/ 2019/ 33008-33 dated 05-10-2019.

Whereas, in terms of above notifications, 8586 applications were received from the candidates of District Rajouri. Subsequently, vide DPO Rajouri

Advertisement Notice No.35642-77 dated 25-10-2019 the scheduled for Physical Endurance and Physical Standard. Test (PET & PST) was notified with effect from 28-10-2019 to 31-10-2019 to be held in District Police Lines, Rajouri. Out of 8586 candidates, 6524 reported for PET & PST, 4745 were declared qualified and 1779 got disqualified and remaining 2062 candidates who did not report for PET & PST were heated as absent.

Whereas, on the basis of criteria conveyed by PHQ in reference to J&K Govt Home Department letter No. Home /PB-111/58/2016 dated 17-03-2018 and MHA letter No.13030/55/ 2016-K-II dated 14/15-06-2018, the merit list of all 4745 qualified candidates was prepared keeping in view their height and qualifications.

Whereas, the proposed selection list of top 150 candidates ( in order of merit) out of 4745 qualified candidates was submitted to Police Headquarters J&K, Jammu vide DPO Rajouri letter No.Pers/S-3A/ 2019/ 39743-45 dated 04-12- 2019 for approval for their engagement as SPOs in District Rajouri.

Whereas, PHQ J&K, Jammu vide letter No.GB/M-29/2019/74056-58 dated 18- 12-2019 conveyed the approval in respect of 150 candidates as per the merit of selection list for their engagement as SPOs in Police Department District Rajouri.

Therefore, in pursuance to the approval accorded vide above quoted PHQ communication, sanction is hereby accorded for engagement of 150 candidates as Special Police Officers (SPOs) as per selection list (Annexure-A) attached with this order in District Rajouri against available positions of SPOs. However, their engagement orders shall be issued separately only after observing codal formalities by DPO Rajouri in terms of above quoted PHQ letter. Their engagement shall be purely temporary and can be terminated without any notice.

Their services can be utilized in any part of the Union Territory of J&K. They shall report to DPO Rajouri within 21 days of issuance of this selection list failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
