The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a notification regarding Photographer (Culture Department) post from the Combined Graduate Level Examination conducted on 02.06.2024. This exclusion was made due to the unique syllabus requirements for the post, necessitating a separate OMR-based examination. The revised exam date for this post will be announced later.

1. History of Indian Photography (1840-1900) – 15 marks: Importance of photography before independence, key Indian photographers, and photojournalism.
2. Basic Photography – 15 marks: Types of cameras, camera lenses, and focusing techniques.
3. Photo Aesthetics – 15 marks: Understanding light, reflection, and refraction in photography.
4. Basic Photo Tech – 15 marks: Introduction to digital imaging and camera operations.
5. Digital Photography Tech – 15 marks: ISO settings, noise problems, and manual settings.
6. Advertising Photography – 7 marks: Evolution of advertising and its use in media.
7. Product Photography Tech – 8 marks: Shooting products, lighting schemes.
8. Portrait Photography – 15 marks: Lighting techniques, facial portraits, and glamour photography.
