JKSSB Press Release regarding Shorthand Test.

The Shorthand Test (Dictation & Transcription) of Kashmir based candidates for the posts of Jr. Scale Stenographer, Personal Assistant and Steno Typist, conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB)
culminates successfully at Srinagar. The Shorthand Test (Dictation & Transcription) was conducted in multiple batches at NIELIT Campus, Rangreth, Srinagar w.e.f. 03.01.2022 to 06.01.2022.

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (IKSSB) advertised 249 posts of Junior Scale Stenographer /Personal Assistant/Steno Typist of UT Cadre, Divisional Cadres and various Districts cadres, advertised vide Advertisement Notification Nos 04 of 2020, 05 of 2020, 06 of 2020 & 07 of 2020 and 01 of 2021, 02 of 2021 and 03 of 2021.

The JKSSB received 11006 online application forms from 4105 unique candidates for the aforesaid 249 posts, out of which 1433 (780 Kashmir based & 654 Jammu based) candidates qualified type test/ skill test of the afore said posts in the first phase of assessment for a multi stage recruitment process. Pertinently, out of 780 Kashmir based candidates scheduled to appear in shorthand, 638 candidates appeared in the shorthand test conducted at NIELIT
SIDCO Electronics Complex, Old Airport Road, Rangreth, Srinagar from 03.01.2022 to 06.01.2022.

Further, the Shorthand Test (Dictation & Transcription) of 654 candidates who qualified the computer-based type test/ skill test, shall be scheduled at NIELIT  New Campus, University of Jammu from 11.01.2022 onwards.
